I'm cheap, fast and easy! Bryson and I put up our Christmas tree yesterday in less than ten minutes. Rosemary gave us the tree (an extra she had) and we pulled it out of the box in three pieces. Bryson put the three pieces together and I plugged it in! Wow, I don't know if I can go bacl to the forest, tramp through the snow, look for the best one, cut it down, haul it home, cut it to fit (someone once cut off the wrong end and we had a topless tree - no names mentioned!), keep it watered, untangle the lights, put the lights on, etc. We are spoiled! Maybe next year I will do what my grandma did: throw plastic over it and keep it up and decorated in the basement until next year...
PS Kristen I will post the tag, but I am having a hard time remembering what I did last week let alone ten years ago. After the Big Party this Saturday, I will have some time to get it together--I promise.

ha ha ha, it's the best when you read something that family wrote and laugh out loud. What happened to the tree with all the plug in branches that you have to individually scuplt into the right position? The tree looks beautiful, did you get new curtains?
Yeah what did happen to that tree with the moldable branches? That one took forever to put up and always left me with itchy arms. I told Matt the other day that I am allergic to pine trees, even fake ones. Tonight we were trying to think of what to have for dinner and I said something cheap, fast and easy....like my mom. haha. Only that didn't come out sounding right, but he knew what I meant cuz that's what you always say! (I just hope nobody passing by heard me say that!)
The tree looks amazing! I think I agree with you about the tree thing...it kind of makes me sad to think that I will let go of my ideal of having a fresh tree each year. However we have used our Christmas can the past few years and I love it.
