One of my favorite things to do in the summer is go, at least once, to a movie at the drive-in. (My brother and sister and I all remember being traumatized by seeing "Soilent Green" at the Motor View in Idaho Falls as kids.) My parents would pop a lot of popcorn, we'd get in our PJs and we were on our way. There was a swing set we could play on before the movie started. We rarely made it to the second movie before falling asleep.
Friday night we invited my sister Linda and her husband John to go see Wall-E with us in Parma. We loaded Dave's truck with chairs, blankets and treats and drove the 40 minutes to get there. As the movie was starting, the full moon came up behind us and the sun was setting in the west in full orange, pink, and purple gloriousness. We tuned the radio to the right station and the previews started. Summer at it's finest!

Drive in's are the epitome of summer! That sounds like it was a lot of fun and totally worth the drive!
